Phoenix expands team with series of promotions and new hires

February 26, 2025

Phoenix is pleased to welcome new team members and celebrate well-earned promotions as we build on a strong 2024. The latest additions and promotions further strengthen our investment and wider team as we prepare for another successful year ahead.

Our internal promotions are testament to the hard work that the team has put in over the years. Congratulations to Natacha Hirchovitch on her promotion from Investment Executive to Investment Manager, and James Hope, who steps up from Fund & Portfolio Manager to Fund & Portfolio Director.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Vanessa Xie as Investment Manager and Prachi Agarwal as Investment Executive, alongside Lauren Sinclair-Williams, who joins as Legal Director. Their expertise and fresh perspectives will be invaluable in the months and years ahead.

Beyond the investment team, we’re excited to welcome Jemma Williams as Personal Assistant and Shelby Langley as Front of House. Having Jemma and Shelby onboard ensures we maintain solid operational foundations across the firm.

The latest round of new hires and promotions follow a hugely successful period for the us in 2024. Phoenix raised more capital than ever last year, securing £400 million for our latest flagship fund and £200 million for our first continuation fund. Additionally, we returned more than £250 million to investors through the sale of four companies from our 2016 fund. Our success was recognised last month when Phoenix was shortlisted for the Real Deals PE House of the Year (Mid Cap) and Fund Performance of the Year.

David Burns, Managing Partner, Phoenix Equity Partners, commented:

“This is a very exciting time to be at Phoenix, and we’re delighted to see progression and expansion within our investment team. The promotions are a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our existing team, while our new joiners will bring valuable experience that adds to the breadth of talent across the firm. We’re looking forward to another successful period at Phoenix, building on the momentum of 2024.”
