We are pleased to share a number of senior leadership updates at Phoenix, designed to support the firm’s continued growth and long-term success.
Kevin Keck has been appointed Managing Partner, joining David Burns in co-leading the firm. Kevin was a co-founder of Phoenix in 2001 and has led many of our most successful investments, particularly in the Healthcare sector.
Richard Daw becomes Chair of Phoenix, having co-led the firm with David for more than a decade. In this role, Richard will continue to Chair the Investment Committee and provide strategic guidance to the firm.
Tim Dunn has been appointed Senior Partner. Alongside his focus on Services & Technology investments, Tim will further develop our portfolio growth and value creation capabilities.
These leadership changes come at a time of strong momentum for Phoenix. Our 2016 Fund is now largely realised, with 10 exits completed, and our 2022 Fund is well deployed, with 9 investments made to date. These changes mark a natural and exciting evolution of our leadership structure.
Commenting on the announcement, David Burns said:
“I’m thrilled to be leading the firm with Kevin, having worked so closely together for more than 20 years. His leadership and energy will be invaluable in this next chapter. I’m also deeply grateful to Richard for his exceptional partnership over the past decade. As Chair, his experience and strategic perspective will continue to shape the firm’s future. We’re excited about what lies ahead”
Kevin Keck added:
“Having been part of Phoenix’s journey since day one, I’m proud of what we’ve built together. I look forward to working even more closely with David and the wider team as we continue to support ambitious businesses.”
Richard Daw commented:
“It’s been a great privilege to co-lead the firm with David over the past 10 years. I’m looking forward to supporting the team in a new capacity as we continue to evolve and grow.”
