Phoenix partners with London Gynaecology

December 17, 2024

Phoenix is pleased to announce its latest investment in London Gynaecology, a group of world-class private gynaecology clinics.

Phoenix is partnering with co-founders Mr Narendra Pisal and Mrs Pradnya Pisal. Mr and Mrs Pisal, who are both leading consultant gynaecologists, started London Gynaecology in 2010 with a clear plan to provide exceptional, compassionate care for its patients. As demand grew for high-quality trusted gynaecology care, they could see an opportunity to enable other consultants to deliver excellent private care in a collaborative and supportive environment. Today, the business supports over 20 consultants, and a team of other expert healthcare professionals, to deliver world class women’s health six days a week, across 3 dedicated sites in London.

Phoenix had identified a growing demand for high quality gynaecology care, due to increasing awareness of women’s health issues and particularly long NHS waiting times. Many women in the UK have struggled to get the care that they need, including some with life debilitating conditions. As part of their work in understanding the sector, Phoenix met Mr Pisal and discussed a shared vision of better women’s health. Five years on from this initial meeting Phoenix is excited to be partnering with the founding team to deliver on their plan for the future.

London Gynaecology is already the UK’s leading dedicated private gynaecology group and, with Phoenix as a partner, looks forward to growing its practice network across London and beyond, increasing patient access to their exceptional care.

Mr Narendra Pisal, Founder, London Gynaecology, commented:

“We welcome Phoenix to join us on this journey. They bring both a deep understanding of our field and alignment with our values. This partnership is not about changing who we are; rather, it enables us to step forward toward the future we have envisioned— a stronger group of practices that sees us serving more patients.”

Kevin Keck, Partner, Phoenix Equity Partners, commented:

“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Narendra, Pradnya and the London Gynaecology team to support the business through the next stage of its growth and development. Our longstanding relationship, developed over several years, gives us confidence that we will work well together to broaden the reach of London Gynaecology’s outstanding care.”

This investment follows the closing of Phoenix’s flagship fund and reinforces our strategy of backing dynamic, founder-led businesses with high growth potential.
